As the longest serving Funeral Directors in Chorley, the business has been operating officially since 1926. Kenyon’s Funeral Directors was originally established by the Grandfather of the current proprietor, Carl Kenyon, and we now welcome the fourth generation of the Kenyon family to the business, ensuring Kenyon’s Meridian Funeral Home remains an integral part of the local community for many years to come.

From your very first call, we are always available to help. If a person has passed away at home, we can always be there within the hour to transport the deceased back to our funeral home, where they are looked after in a calm environment, and never left on their own.
When a person has passed away in hospital, the first step is to register the death at the registrar. Once this has been completed, we are able to collect that person from the hospital and deliver to Meridian House where they are able to rest while we help you arrange every aspect of the funeral, from the Order of Service to flowers and transport.

At Carl and Brett Kenyon’s Family Meridian Funeral Home, we are a small, caring, family-run funeral business. We live on the premises and care for your loved ones in a family way. That means your loved ones are never left alone at night and in this respect, we are Chorley’s Only True Funeral Home. You deal with the same people from start to finish. We make every effort to deliver the funeral you want for your loved ones.
We offer a full range of local, national, and repatriation funeral services. Whilst we mainly cover the areas of Chorley, Coppull, Brinscall, Adlington, Charnock Richard, Euxton & Croston, we also do many funerals at Preston, Wigan, Pleasington in Blackburn and throughout the North West.
The Kenyon family work together and are no part of any other firm trading as Kenyons.

We believe that the funeral is your family’s day and we help you to choose the funeral you want. Firstly, everyone is welcome at Carl Kenyon’s Meridian Funeral Home. We provide religious funerals for followers of all different types of religions. We also offer non religious (humanist) funerals and also green funerals. We offer a wide range of transportation as well as coffins and caskets. You even have the choice in terms of the style of funeral. An example of this is that we ask you whether or not you want the funeral director to walk in front of the hearse. Some families request us to do this, others prefer us not to. As with all aspects of the funeral, we simply give you an understanding of the funeral process and explain what your choices are, so you are then best able to make an informed decision.

As an independent family owned and managed business, we are able to provide 100% commitment to you our customers, to ensure that as a family, you have your wishes carried out how you want. You will notice that the people you speak to and meet in your first dealings with us on the phone, or when you meet us, are the same people that you see all the way through. We know what our customers like and appreciate and so we make the extra effort at every stage of the process. Where we cover locally we arrange funerals in Chorley, Coppull, Brinscall, Addlington, Euxton and Croston. We are also asked to arrange funerals in different locations across the UK. We also provide a repatriation service and have also a long standing connection with Ireland.

Our visiting times are 9.00am till 4.30pm Monday to Friday, After 4.30pm Please phone for an appointment up until 7.00pm
Saturday & Sunday By appointment Only 9.00am till 12.00pm
